Air India will send its first-ever Wuhan flight under the Vande Bharat Mission on 30 October. The Indian embassy announced this on Friday. The first case of coronavirus was reported in December in the Chinese city of Wuhan itself.

The city was banned in January to prevent the epidemic. The city was officially declared virus-protected in June and all restrictions were lifted.

This is the sixth flight to China under the Vande India Mission. This mission has been started to bring the stranded Indians in both countries back to their destination. The Delhi-Wuhan flight was announced after the flight was canceled between Delhi-Guangzhou on 23 October.

Those going from New Delhi to Wuhan will have to stay in the Quarantine for 14 days in the hotels. According to the Indian embassy, ​​passengers have been asked to contact the helpdesk ([email protected]) for any assistance.

Around 13 lakh Indians were brought to the country by 2 September

In February this year, when the cases in Wuhan increased considerably, when India operated three flights to evacuate Indians from there. Air India has so far operated five flights under the Vande Bharat Mission. The sixth phase of Vande Bharat Mission started from 1 September. Till 2 September, about 13 lakh Indian citizens have been brought to the country under this mission.
