A resident of Sarvesh, a liquor businessman in Pilibhit district of Uttar Pradesh, asked for help on the phone from MP Varun Gandhi, who was drunk in the night, the MP reprimanded him and asked him to talk in the morning.

It also said that they do not help smugglers, mafia and wrongdoers. The police caught him and brought him to the Assam post. 10 liters of raw liquor was recovered from him. The police filed a report under the Excise Act.

The addicts were released on bond on Monday. The audio of the two talks went viral on social media and created a political stir. In the late evening, the caller of the MP admitted that he had made the call while intoxicated. For this he apologized to the MP. He also released a video of his apology.
