After doing PG from government colleges in Uttar Pradesh, doctors will have to work in a government hospital for 10 years. If a doctor leaves the job before this, then he will have to pay a fine of one crore rupees to the UP government. After this news came out, the government has clarified that it is not today, but three years old order.

UP Additional Chief Secretary Health Amit Mohan Prasad said in a press conference in Lucknow – There has been a news on social media that doctors who do PG will have to work in government hospitals for 10 years. Failure of one crore rupees will have to be paid for not doing so. This is not a new rule. The government issued an order in this regard on 3 April 2017.

You will have to join the job as soon as you finish your studies
The government guideline states that after completing studies, the doctor will have to join the job immediately. Apart from this, there has been a ban on government doctors staying in senior residency after PG. The new rule states that no objection certificate (NoC) will be issued by the department in this regard.

Admission will not be allowed on leaving the course
According to the guideline, if a doctor leaves the PG in between, then he will be banned for 3 years. In these years, students will not be able to get admission again. Earlier on Friday, doctors across the country went on strike. The reason for this was stated to be the permission of Ayurveda students to do surgery.

Decision taken to fill the shortage of doctors
Primary and community health centers are open in villages in UP, but these centers are facing shortage of doctors. Many health center pharmacists are running on the trust of many other employees. Apart from this, there is also a shortage of doctors in the hospitals at the district headquarters. According to the government, this decision will be able to compensate the shortage of doctors in the state.
