Kejriwal torn copy of agricultural laws
A special session was called in the Delhi Assembly on Thursday on the issue of farmers’ agitation against agricultural laws. In this, Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal tore the copy of agricultural laws. Kejriwal said, “This is the first time that three laws have been passed without voting in the Rajya Sabha. I appeal to the Center not to be worse than the British.”
Supreme Court edict: Supreme Court Chief Justice SA Bobde advised both the government and the farmers on the application to remove agitating farmers from the streets. Asked the government to explore the possibility of holding agricultural laws. At the same time, he advised the farmers to change the way of protest.
Tomar’s letter to the farmers: Agriculture Minister Narendra Singh Tomar wrote a letter to farmers on Thursday. He asked the farmers not to become the pawn of the opposition. Tomar said that those who opposed the ideology of the country in the war of 1962, are misleading the farmers today.
Another ISRO flight in the sky
The Indian Space Research Organization (ISRO) on Thursday launched the Communication Satellite (CMS-01) from the Satish Dhawan Space Center in Sriharikota. The launch was done with PSLV-C50 rocket. This is just the second launch of a satellite in the Corona era. CMS-01 is the 42nd communication satellite of India. It will cover Andaman-Nicobar and Lakshadweep in addition to the land areas of India.
55 year old rail link between India and Bangladesh started
Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Bangladesh PM Sheikh Hasina on Thursday inaugurated the Chhilti-Haldibari rail link between India and Bangladesh. Now 5 out of 6 rail links closed since 1965 will be resumed. This link was closed during the 1965 war between India and Pakistan.
