The Ahmedabad-Mumbai Tejas Express, which resumed from October 17 after the lockdown, is not receiving passengers at all. Some Tuesday trips from November to March 2021 have been canceled after the Western Railway booking review. 17 trips have been canceled in five months.

IRCTC also reduced its fare by Rs 400, but the number of passengers did not increase as expected. Later the fare was again reverted as before. Tejas could not get 250-250 passengers on the up-down trip of 17 October. There are 780 seats in total 10 coaches of chair car and 112 seats in two coaches of executives.

Tejas will be canceled these days for 5 months

  • 3 and 24 November
  • 1, 8, and 15 December
  • 19 and 26 January
  • 2, 9, and 23 February
  • 2, 9, 16, 23, and 30 March

Something won’t run on Tuesday

82901/02 Tejas runs from Ahmedabad every day at 6.40 am except Thursdays during the week. Reaches Surat at 9.35 am. Arrive Mumbai Central at 1.10 pm.

Airport: Traffic growth increased by 30%, 500 aircraft and 58000 passengers traveled in October

Traffic growth at Surat Airport has been increasing day by day after the resumed domestic flights at the lockdown. There has been a 30% increase in passenger numbers in October. Now around 2500 passengers are traveling every day.

Before 22 March, there was a movement of 6 to 7 thousand passengers daily. It was reduced to less than 200 in March. From April to 25 May, traffic growth was zero. After the resumption of flights from 25 May, the traffic growth increased to 200, 500 by September.

Now operating 30 flights daily

From October 1 to October 31, a total of 512 scheduled aircraft were operated at Surat Airport. These included 256 aircraft and 256 aircraft. A total of 57642 passengers traveled on these aircraft.

32460 passengers left from Surat, while 25182 passengers arrived from other cities. It also had total non-schedule aircraft. 58,000 passengers traveled in October. Now 30 flights are operating from here.
