The opposition was also adamant that when CM Nitish Kumar and two ministers Ashok Chaudhary and Mukesh Sahni are not members of the new assembly, they should be expelled from the House during the voting process and voting through secret ballot.

Members of the opposition sat in the Well and started shouting slogans. When opposition’s opposition did not stop, Protem Speaker Manjhi asked Legislative Council member Nitish Kumar and both ministers Chaudhary and Sahani to go out. The house adjourned for about 5 minutes at 12 noon.

After this, when the House sat again, the opposition continued to demand secret voting. The pro tem speaker made the members of the ruling and opposition stand alternately and got the votes counted. After this, at about one quarter of the afternoon, the Protem Speaker declared Sinha as the NDA candidate. There were 126 votes in favor of Sinha and 114 votes against. Amid the uproar, the new chairman was seated by Tejashwi Yadav and Nitish Kumar. Manjhi did not vote due to being a pro tem speaker, while two BSP MLAs were absent.

Stunning said – openly stolen
Earlier, the house was adjourned for 5 minutes due to uproar in the assembly. In the same 5 minutes, Tejashwi Yadav recorded the video and released the statement. Tejashwi said – Democracy and the Constitution are being killed in front of the country and the world. Theft of the mandate in the assembly elections and in the election of the speaker is also being openly stolen.

Tejashwi said that Nitish Kumar is a member of the Legislative Council, not the Legislative Assembly. Two ministers are not even members of the Legislative Council. Many of their MLAs are non-attendants and leaders have been made to be fake MLAs. The rule says that one who is not a member of the house has to go out before the doors are closed for voting.

According to constitutional expert Subhash Kashyap, the CM can remain in the House during the voting for the Speaker, whether he is a member of the House or not.

Awadh candidates were from the Grand Alliance
BJP MLA Vijay Kumar Sinha was the candidate from NDA, while Awadh Bihar Chaudhary was nominated from Mahagathbandhan. Voting was held for the post of Speaker of the Assembly after 51 years in the state. Earlier, the tradition of electing the Speaker of the ruling party uncontested was going on. But, the Grand Alliance made its political game even more exciting by dropping its candidate.

On Tuesday evening, a tweet by former deputy CM Sushil Modi created a political uproar. He alleged that Lalu Prasad Yadav is calling NDA MLAs. He is being lured to vote in the election of the Speaker of the Assembly. The NDA continued to give strict instructions to its MLAs on Tuesday night to vote in their favor. Leaders of the Grand Alliance and the NDA kept in touch with their MLAs throughout the night.
