The F / A-18 Super Hornet fighter jet was tested not on an aircraft carrier, but on a ski-jump platform on the ground.

The American company Boeing has proposed to give the Indian Navy a super hornet fighter jet for the aircraft carrier ship. The company said on Monday that the ski-jump test of the F / A-18 Super Hornet Fighter Jet was successful. This fighter jet is fit for the Indian Navy. This jet can be operated from India’s aircraft carrier. According to Ankur Kanglekar, Chief of Boeing-Defense’s India Fighters Sales, Indian Embassy officials were present in Washington DC during the test.

He said that the test was done at a naval air station in America (Patuxent River, Maryland). This aircraft also works well in terms of the Short Takeoff Butt Arrested Recovery (STOBAR) system of the Indian Navy.

Test done by making ski-jump platform on the ground
The Boeing Company also produces fighter aircraft for the US Navy. US aircraft carrier warships use catapult technology, so Boeing has now tested its Super Hornet through the Indian Navy’s ski-jump technique. This test has not been done on any aircraft carrier, but by making a ski-jump platform on the ground.

Under a ski-jump technique, the aircraft can fly at short distances from a curved platform.

We have a solution for this and it is also safe. It meets all the standards to be operated by the aircraft carrier of the Indian Navy.

Navy has an aircraft carrier
