The convocation ceremony of Maharana Pratap University of Agriculture and Technology (MPUAT), the 21st in the country and the topper in Rajasthan, will be held on December 24 in the ranking of the Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR). But it will be so unique that it has not happened in any university in the country so far.
Such a presentation has been prepared for this virtual ceremony, in which the students receiving the gold medal will be seen wearing the medal on the hands of the Vice Chancellor and other guests. They will appear before the Vice Chancellor on calling, and will disappear as soon as they take the medal.
So far, virtual events have also been held at IIT Madras, IIT Bombay and Jodhpur, but they had an animated image instead of the actual image of the students. In this convocation, the image of the students and the awarding guests will be real rather than animated. VC Prof. NS Rathore said that this time 32 gold students will be given gold medals and 712 students will be given titles at the ceremony. Apart from the Gold Medalist student, the photos, names, etc. of the students receiving degrees and medals will be displayed on the screen.
The convocation celebrations are now happening with animated images, for the first time, videos from Mixed Reality Technology
CTAE Dean Dr. Ajay Sharma said that Mixed Reality Animated Technology is used for this virtual convocation. The motive was that despite being animated, it did not look like something artificial. Despite being played on screen, the students will also be genuine and the guests who give them medals. The stage of the ceremony was set to prepare it.
Such a video was made by the Vice Chancellor and other guests, as if they were putting a medal on someone’s neck. After this, different videos of students receiving medals were made as if they were wearing medals. Then announced their names, awarding medals and mixing wear.
