Defense Minister Rajnath Singh inaugurated 44 bridges through video conferencing on Monday. This is the first time such a bridge has been named after a country. On this occasion, Rajnath said that after Pakistan, now China too is intent on continuing the border dispute. Both countries are doing all this under the mission. Rajnath also laid the foundation stone of a tunnel in Arunachal Pradesh.

The Defense Minister also said, ‘Everyone knows what is happening on our northern and eastern borders. Pakistan and China continue to maintain tension on 7 thousand km long borders. Despite tensions from China and Pakistan, India has brought historical changes in every region. These have been prepared by the Bridge Border Road Organization (BRO). According to Rajnath, between 2008-16, the BRO budget ranged between Rs 3300 crore and Rs 4600 crore. It has increased to Rs 11 thousand crore in 2020-21.

These bridges have been built in Ladakh, Arunachal Pradesh, Sikkim, Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Punjab and Jammu and Kashmir. With their help, the armed forces of the army can reach the forward location on the border soon. Looking at the dispute with China, India is also working on several other important projects in the border areas.

Where many bridges
All the bridges have been built by the Border Road Organization (BRO). The BRO said that these bridges not only have strategic importance, but will also help in establishing connectivity with remote areas. 7 bridges have been built in Ladakh. Besides, 10 bridges have been constructed in Jammu and Kashmir, 2 in Himachal, 8-8 in Uttarakhand and Arunachal and 4-4 in Sikkim and Punjab.

This will be the tunnel of Arunachal
The tunnel to be built at Nechifu in Arunachal Pradesh will be built on a main road in Tawang. Road is also being constructed to connect Himachal’s Darcha with Ladakh. This road will pass through several high snowy peaks. It is about 290 km. Will be long. Once it is ready, the army will have easy access to Kargil.
