Rahul Gandhi wanted to discuss giving better facilities to soldiers fighting with China in Ladakh, but Cheyamman did not allow it. After this, Congress leaders walked out.

The parliamentary committee on defense met on Wednesday. Congress leaders Rahul Gandhi walkout from this meeting. According to sources, Rahul alleged that the uniforms of the forces were being discussed in the meeting instead of national security. Rahul described it as a waste of parliamentary committee time.

In the committee meeting, Rahul Gandhi wanted to talk about tension in China from Ladakh and giving better weapons to soldiers. However, the committee chairman, Jual Oram (BJP), did not allow him to do so.

National Security should be discussed: Rahul Gandhi

According to sources, the issue of uniforms of Army, Navy and Airforce was being discussed in the presence of Chief of Defense Staff (CDS) General Bipin Rawat. At the same time, Rahul Gandhi said that instead of discussing it, political leadership should talk on national security. There should be a discussion on strengthening forces fighting China in Ladakh.

When the chairman of the committee did not allow Rahul Gandhi to speak, he walked out of the meeting. Along with Rahul, Congress MPs Rajiv Satav and Revnath Reddy also exited the meeting.
