CSK vs SRH (Match No-29): In the 29th match played between Chennai Super Kings and Sunrisers Hyderabad, there was a dispute about wide ball. In the 19th over of Hyderabad’s innings, a ball from Shardul Thakur of Chennai was pitched outside the off stump. Umpire Paul Rafael raised his hand to give it wide, but he immediately pulled back his hands after seeing the reaction of CSK captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni. Chennai defeated Hyderabad by 20 runs in this match.

DC vs KXIP (Match No-2): Chris Jordan tried to take two runs in the second match of the league.  He placed the bat inside the crease at the striker end, but the umpire gave a single run.  The match went to a super over and Punjab lost the match.

2. Controversy over Mayank-Jordan’s run

DC vs KXIP (Match No-2): Delhi batting first scored 157 runs at the loss of 8 wickets in 20 overs. In reply, the Punjab team also managed to score 157 runs and the match went into a super over. Mayank Agarwal and Chris Jordan took 2 runs off the third ball of the 19th over during Punjab’s batting.

However, umpire Nitin Menon gave a run. He believed that Jordan did not place the bat inside the crease while taking the first run and did not complete the run. At the same time, the TV replays showed clearly placed inside the bat crease. In the final over, Punjab needed 13 runs to win and the team could score only 12 runs and the match went into a super over. Delhi easily defeated Punjab in the Super Over.

3. Recalls Batsman from dug out

RR vs CSK (Match No-4): On the 5th ball of Deepak Chahar in the 18th over of Rajasthan’s innings against Chennai, umpire C. Shamshuddin called Tom Karan as a catch out. Karan expressed displeasure over the umpire’s decision. Rajasthan did not have a review left, so Karan started going towards the dugout.

Meanwhile, the umpire consulted and referred the decision to the third umpire. Despite the review not being done, Dhoni went and interacted with the umpires when the decision was referred to the third umpire. When the third umpire saw the video replays, there was no contact between Ball and Bat. At the same time, Dhoni also did not catch the catch properly. The umpire immediately retracted his decision and called Tom Karan back for batting.

There was a debate between Rajasthan’s Rahul Tewatia and Hyderabad’s Khalil, which did not suit Hyderabad captain David Warner. This was followed by a debate between Teotia, Warner and Khalil three. The umpire and fellow players handled the matter intermittently.

5. Gavaskar’s controversial statement on Kohli and Anushka

RCB vs KXIP (Match No- 6): The 6th match of this season was played between RCB and Punjab. RCB captain Kohli had a poor performance in the match. He also missed two catches. After this, while commentating, Gavaskar had said – Kohli only practiced bowling of Anushka in lockdown. Nothing has to be done with that.

Actually, a video of Kohli and his wife Anushka went viral, in which Anushka was seen bowling to Kohli during the lockdown. Gavaskar was referring to this video.
