Prime Minister Narendra Modi will review the production of Corona vaccine in three cities today. He will visit Zydus Biotech Park in Ahmedabad, Serum Institute of India (SII) in Pune and Bharat Biotech plant in Hyderabad.
This visit was told by the Prime Minister’s Office (PMO) on Friday through a social media post. The PMO said that India has come to the final phase of the fight against Corona. Modi’s visit and interaction with scientists will help him to get a perspective on vaccination preparations, challenges and its roadmap in India.
Rehearsed in SII
Rehearsals were also held on Friday at the Serum Institute for the Prime Minister’s visit. Here Modi will review the vaccine production and its distribution mechanism. For this, the movement was tried on the road route. Landing of Air Force Chopper was also done.
The Serum Institute has partnered with UK company AstraZeneca and Oxford University to produce Corona Vaccine Coveshield. SII makes the most vaccines in the world. Experts and government officials believe that this vaccine will be available first in India.
Modi will reach Hyderabad at 4 pm
Modi will go to Hyderabad to get information about the indigenous vaccine Kovaxin. Later in the afternoon at 4 o’clock they will land at Hakimpet Air Force Station. From here they will go to Bharat Biotech. He will leave for Delhi at 5.10 am after stopping at the vaccine making plant for one hour.
Bharat Biotech has joined hands with the Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR) to manufacture covaxin. Bharat Biotech has started its Phase-III trials. Haryana Health Minister Anil Vij has got a dose of this vaccine in a hospital in Ambala Cantt.
Modi will go to Ahmedabad before going to Hyderabad. Here Zydus Cadila is developing its vaccine ZyCoV-D. Zydus Cadila vaccine is also in Phase-3 trials.
