West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee on Monday attacked the BJP government at the Center. He said that the Central Government abolished the Planning Commission conceptualized by Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose. Our government will create a body like Planning Commission to take forward their vision and ideas. He has sought suggestions from Nobel laureate economist Amrita Sen, Abhijit Banerjee and Netaji’s great-grandson historian Sugata Bose.

He said that a special session of the assembly would be called soon. The motion against the new agricultural laws will be passed during the session. Before the assembly elections, Chief Minister Banerjee also indicated the implementation of Pradhan Mantri Kisan Yojana in the state. He said that the central government should tell us how many people have registered on the government portal to take advantage of the scheme.

Center disbanded Planning Commission
He said that the Planning Commission of Netaji was dissolved by the central government. The Center has renamed it NITI Aayog or NITI Niyog? I am not aware of this. Before that I often attended the Planning Commission meetings. In this, suggestions were taken from every state. But, we can no longer share our thoughts.

5 States Have Already Proposed
If the resolution against agricultural laws is passed in Bengal, it will be the sixth state to do so. Earlier the governments of Kerala, Delhi, Punjab, Chhattisgarh and Rajasthan have passed proposals against these laws.

BJP is misleading the public
He said that I have asked the central government many times to give funds to the state government under the PM Kisan Samman Nidhi in Bengal, but they never did so. BJP leaders do not get tired of claiming that 21.7 lakh farmers of Bengal have registered for the scheme on the government portal. BJP is trying to mislead people by doing politics just in case.

Condition of fund transfer through state government
Earlier, Mamta refused to implement the central government’s schemes like PM Kisan Samman Nidhi and Ayushman Bharat in the state. He had said that this can happen only when the money in the beneficiary’s account goes through the state government.
