Today is the sixth day of the farmers’ agitation on the borders of Delhi against the agricultural bills of the Center. The police have closed the Singhu and Tikari borders of Delhi adjoining Haryana for the second consecutive day today. After talking to farmers on December 3, the Adi government gave up stubbornness on Monday and on December 1, ie at 3 pm today, leaders of 32 farmers’ organizations have been called to Vigyan Bhavan for talks. Agriculture Minister Narendra Singh Tomar said that the farmer leaders who were involved in the meeting on 13 November have been invited to join the talks. Before the talks with the government, the farmer leaders will meet and decide the next strategy.

Demonstration was already going on in Punjab against the three new agricultural bills of the Center, but 6 days ago, farmers of Punjab-Haryana traveled to Delhi. The police stopped them at the border itself. The government told the farmers that if they finish the protest and come to Burari, then the talks can be held even earlier.

Home Minister-Agriculture Minister met 2 times in 24 hours
The farmers did not accept the condition of the government, but on Sunday said that now they will seal 5 entry points of Delhi. The farmers said that they have brought with them 4 months of ration-water. After this the round of meetings started in the government. Home Minister Amit Shah, Defense Minister Rajnath Singh and Agriculture Minister Narendra Singh Tomar met on Sunday night at BJP President JP Nadda’s house. There was a meeting again on Monday. Agriculture Minister and many BJP leaders were present in the meeting held at the home of the Home Minister.

Government said- Corona, talks due to cold soon
During Monday’s meeting, there were indications that the government could send an unconditional invitation to the farmers. The same happened, the government sent the proposal late at night. However, the Minister of Agriculture quickly explained the growing corona infection and cold as being ready for talks.
