A big accident took place in Kaushambi in Uttar Pradesh in the early hours of Wednesday. A ballast-laden truck overturned the car returning to the procession. It killed eight people, including the driver of the car. The dead included six women and a child from a family of three. There were 10 people in the car. Two people jumped from the car and saved their lives. He has suffered injuries. The accident took place around 4 am.
Police said that Pankaj Agarhari, son of Mohanlal Gupta of Shahzadpur village, was married on Tuesday. The procession went to the Devi Ganj of Kotwali. After attending the wedding on Wednesday morning, the groom’s cousin was returning to Shahzadpur by car along with nine people, including his son and daughter. The driver lost his way due to darkness. When he realized this, he stopped the car on the way and started understanding the location. Then this accident happened.
The groom’s aunt, 2 cousins and niece also died
The deceased included two cousins of the groom Shashi Devi (35) and Neha (18), Shashi’s son Om Gupta (8), the groom’s aunt Roshni Devi (50), Mami Poonam Devi (42), Mamari sister Muskan (15), The neighbor’s daughter Seema Tiwari (16) and driver Shivraj Saroj (23). Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has mourned the accident and ordered proper treatment of the injured.
