  • Commission of Inquiry on the directions of the Supreme Court is facing strange problems

(Pawan Kumar) The Justice BS Chauhan Commission probing the UP Gangster Vikas Dubey encounter is facing strange problems these days. They are having such complaints, from which the Commission has nothing to do.

Some Vikas are urging Dubey’s gang to save their lives, while some are saying to free their land. In response, the Commission has asked the concerned people to plead with the police, court and administration on such complaints. Gangster Vikas, accused of killing 8 police personnel, was killed in an encounter in Kanpur on 10 July. The commission was set up on the directions of the Supreme Court to investigate if the encounter was fake.

More than a dozen complaints were received

In fact, since the commission of inquiry, it has received more than a dozen such complaints, which have nothing to do with the encounter. In one complaint, a person wrote a letter saying that after Vikas Dubey was killed, his gang members are suspecting him about the police informer and they want to kill him. Therefore, he should be given police protection.

At the same time, a person from Kanpur said that Vikas had occupied his land. Due to fear, he could not redeem his land. Since he has died, he should be brought back to his land. At the same time, some complaints have also come from the people of Vikas and his family to grab the money and demand the money back to them.

Advocates of other states are also in trouble for the commission. Advocates of Mumbai, Bihar and many other states want to add themselves as witnesses even though they have no connection with the case. They were neither near the scene at the time of the encounter, nor at the time of Vikas’s arrest.

Commission chairman and other members fall ill, investigation work halted

Here, retired Justice BS Chauhan, who is investigating the encounter, has fallen ill. He has been admitted to the hospital due to heart disease. He also underwent an operation a few days ago. Another member of the investigation, former judge of Allahabad High Court SK Aggarwal, is also ill. Because of this, the investigation work has stopped at the moment. Earlier, the commission team also visited the place where the development encounter took place. The commission had also asked the policemen why they chose the path of the side lane instead of the high-way.
