Indian China Ladakh Pangong TSO Tensions Latest News Update | Mike Pompeo, People's Liberation Army (PLA) Deoployemt on Northern Border

US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo has made a big claim amidst tensions between Indo-Chinese forces in Ladakh. He says that China has deployed 60,000 troops on the Line of Actual Control (LAC) in Ladakh. Pompeo drew China for its attitude and the threats it posed to the Group of Quad-Indo-Pacific Countries.

On the other hand, US NSA Robert O’Brien said that the time has come when it should be accepted that talking to China will not help. Because China is not going to change its aggressive attitude.

Pompeo targeted China in an interview on Friday after returning from a meeting of foreign ministers of the Quad Group, the Indo-Pacific countries – the US, Japan, India, and Australia in Tokyo. India’s Foreign Minister S. Jaishankar attended the quad meet.

The American NSA made a similar statement
The US NSA Robert O’Brien said in Utah that the Communist Party of China could clearly see the expansionist aggression on the Indian border. Here China is trying to control the LAC by force. He said that there would be no benefit from keeping an eye on China or being soft on it. We have been doing this for a long time.

India and China have been in dispute for 5 months

  • On 5 May, 200 soldiers came face-to-face in eastern Ladakh.
  • On May 9, 150 soldiers clashed in North Sikkim.
  • On 9 May, China sent helicopters to LAC in Ladakh.
  • On June 15, 20 Indian soldiers were killed in a clash between India and China in Galvan. 40 Chinese soldiers were also killed, but he did not accept this.
