There is news of relief on Corona. India has dropped out of the list of top-10 infected countries of the world after 8 months. There are now 2.25 lakh patients who are undergoing treatment. Such patients are called active cases. The remaining one crore people have been cured, while 1 lakh 50 thousand 151 patients have died. India came in the list of top-10 infected countries in May. By September, it had become the second most infected country in the world.

The number of such active cases in the world is 2.34 crore. These include only 0.94% of patients in India. The highest 35.67% of active cases are in the US. France is followed by 10.32% of active cases. The third place is Brazil, with 2.78% active cases left.

More than 9.93 lakh active cases reduced within 4 months
The first case of Corona in the country came to light in Kerala on 30 January. As of March, there were 1425 active cases. Meaning these patients were undergoing treatment. Since then it started growing. By June, the number of such patients increased to 2.20 lakh.

On 17 September, Corona Peak arrived in the country. The number of active cases was more than 10.17 lakh. At that time India was the second most infected country in the world. America was number one. It started declining since 17 September. By October, it had more than three lakh cases and the number of patients increased to 7.83 lakh. So far, more than 9.93 lakh active cases have been reduced.

96 people recovering every 100 patients
The recovery rate of corona patients in the country has been 96.3%. Meaning 96 people are curing every 100 patients. India is at the forefront of the world’s top-20 infected countries in terms of recovery. Many big countries like America, Brazil, France, Russia, Spain, UK are also far behind India.

23% drop in death rate
So far 1.4% ie 1.5 lakh patients have died due to corona in the country. However, the good news is that it has been declining for the last 4 months. By September, there were between 1000 and 1300 deaths in the country every day. After this, it started declining. If you look at the figures, the maximum number of 32 thousand 246 people died in September. In October this number was reduced to 22 thousand 344. In November 15 thousand 17 and in December 10 thousand 858 patients lost their lives. Within these three months, there has been a 23% drop in death rate.
