The Indian team has suffered another major setback in the middle of the Test series on Australia tour. Opener and wicketkeeper Lokesh Rahul is out of the series due to injury. The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) confirmed this on Tuesday.

Rahul’s left hand wrist is injured during practice at Melbourne Cricket Ground. They will take at least three weeks to recover. They will soon return to the country. The BCCI has not given any information about Rahul’s replacement yet.

Injured third player
Rahul is the third player out of the series with an injury. Earlier, fast bowlers Mohammad Shami and Umesh Yadav have also been ruled out of the series. At the same time, Ishant Sharma was not selected in the team due to injury. Shami had already suffered a hand injury during batting in the Test. At the same time, Umesh complained of a leg muscle strain in the first innings of the second match.

5 players including Rohit investigated for breaking corona rules
Six days before the Sydney match, 5 players, including Rohit, have been accused of breaking the Corona protocol. It is under investigation. These include vice-captain Rohit Sharma, wicket-keeper Rishabh Pant, opener Shubman Gill and Prithvi Shaw and fast bowler Navdeep Saini. However, before leaving for Sydney, all the players of Team India including the five players have come to the Corona Test negative.

If the allegations on all five players are proved true, they will not be able to play in the last two Tests. Rahul is also out now. In such a situation, there is a batting crisis in front of the Indian team.

  • All-rounder – Hanuma Vihari, Ravindra Jadeja, Ravichandran Ashwin
  • Wicketkeeper – Wriddhiman Saha, Rishabh Pant
  • Baller- Jaspreet Bumrah, Navdeep Saini, Kuldeep Yadav, Mohammad Siraj.

If the five players, including Rohit, do not play, then the Indian team in the current situation
