A hearing was held in the Lucknow bench of the Allahabad High Court in the alleged rape and death of a 19-year-old Dalit girl in Hathras, Uttar Pradesh. The victim’s family reached Lucknow on Monday morning under tight security. In court, the victim’s family said that the police did not conduct a proper investigation from the beginning. Troubled us, no help. Initially, no FIR was written.

Hathras DM Praveen Kumar said – Intelligence input was received that some people may try to incite ethnic violence due to their selfishness. This could cause law and order to collapse. If there was a further delay in the cremation, the dead body was feared to be tarnished, so the funeral was done at midnight. There was no pressure from the government or top officials about the funeral at night.

On this, the court rebuked the district administration and said, ‘If a rich person had a daughter, would you have done the same? If there was a possibility of deteriorating law and order, security could be increased further.

Seema Kushwaha filed an affidavit. He said that the court has reprimanded the issue of the funeral. Also raised the question that the security with the family so far is about law and order. Will the family’s security be ensured next?

The court summoned the state’s Additional Chief Secretary Home Avnish Awasthi, DGP HC Awasthi, ADG Law and Order Prashant Kumar, DM and SP of Hathras. Vinod Shahi pleaded on behalf of the government in the High Court, while the court-appointed senior advocate JN Mathur as amicus curiae (justice friend). On October 1, the court itself took the matter into notice.

5 family members testified in court
5 members of the family submitted their views in the court. Earlier, the victim’s family left Hathras at 5 am. The victim’s parents, two brothers, and a sister-in-law reached Lucknow. All were lodged in the Uttarakhand Bhawan located near the High Court. SDM Anjali Gangwar and CO Shailendra Bajpai have commanded the security system.

Two of the vehicles were the victim’s family, while six were for their escort. Earlier, he refused to go to Lucknow on Sunday night. The victim’s brother said that anything could happen to us at night. We do not trust the administration.

CBI’s Anti Corruption Branch reaches Hathras and starts an investigation
On the other hand, after registering the case, the Anti Corruption Branch of CBI has reached Hathras and started an investigation. The investigation is being carried out by women deputy SP Seema Pahuja. The CBI has taken the FIR and documents from the police on Sunday itself. According to sources, today the CBI team was supposed to reach the spot for investigation. So that postmortem report, investigation sample taken by a forensic team, and all related evidence can be collected.

What is the whole matter?
On September 14 in Hathras, 4 people had allegedly gang-raped a 19-year-old girl. It is also alleged that he broke his backbone and also cut his tongue. The victim died on 29 September while undergoing treatment in Delhi. All the four accused have been arrested. However, the police claim that the rape did not take place.
