Devotees carrying Panchmukhi Doli in Kedarnath Dham amid snowfall on Monday. The doors of Kedarnath Dham have been closed for the winter.

The highest snowfall occurred on Monday in the high-altitude areas of Jammu and Kashmir. The Jammu-Srinagar highway had to be closed due to snowfall here. Avalonch Warning has also been issued for four districts of Kashmir. Here in Uttarakhand, Kedarnath Dham was seen covered with a sheet of snow, while Badrinath Dham also got its first snowfall of the season.

In addition to snowfall in Jammu and Kashmir, Uttarakhand, Himachal Pradesh, Rajasthan, Punjab and Haryana received rains on Sunday. Ole fell with rain in many cities. It also caused a lot of damage. Changes in the weather as well as a drop in temperature have been recorded everywhere.

Jawahar tunnel closed due to snowfall
According to the Meteorological Department of Jammu and Kashmir, Gulmarg, Sonamarg, Pahalgam, Kupwara, Baramulla, Kulgam, Shopian and Anantnag received significant snowfall in the last 12 hours. Traffic on the Jammu-Srinagar highway has been stopped due to snowfall around the Jawahar Tunnel. Due to snowfall in high altitude areas and rains in the plains, a snowstorm warning has been issued for four districts of Kashmir. The Mughal Gardens have also been closed due to heavy snowfall on the Peerpanjal peaks.

Here, ten civilians were trapped after continuous snowfall in the Sinthan Pass in Jammu and Kashmir. The army and the Jammu and Kashmir Police carried out a joint operation to remove them. The rescue team walked in the snow for about 5 to 5 kilometers at night to evacuate people. It was the rescue team who took the citizens to the Sinthan Maidan and made arrangements for their food and drink.

The two famous shrines of Uttarakhand Badrinath and Kedarnath are covered with a sheet of snow. On Monday, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath arrived to worship at the time of the closure of the Kedarnath shrine for the winter. During that time too, there was snow in the entire Kedarnath valley. After fresh snowfall, the temperature dropped at many places. Snowfall continues in Rudraprayag, Chamoli and surrounding areas since Sunday night.

Snow cover in Himachal from homes to roads
Manali, the tourist destination of Himachal Pradesh, also received its first snowfall of the season. People were seen enjoying the snowfall here. The capital Shimla, Kufri and Narkanda were also seen under snow on Monday morning. Snowfall has started in most of the tourist places of Himachal. Snowfall has continued in Shimla’s Mandol village since last night and snow has frozen from homes to roads.

Rain and hail fell in three states

The weather suddenly changed in Rajasthan, Punjab and Haryana on Sunday. The rains started with a sudden thunderstorm in Jaipur and Baran. In Jaipur, hail also fell at some places. Hail fell in Hisar, Haryana. At the same time, Punjab, Ludhiana, Ferozepur, Pathankot, Sangrur, Muktsar and Amritsar received rains.
