Today is the 22nd day of the farmers’ agitation against the new agricultural laws. The petition to remove the farmers from the roads is being heard again in the Supreme Court today. The petitioner says that the public is upset due to the blockade due to the movement and the risk of corona is also increasing. The Supreme Court has at present refused to give any ruling on the legality of agricultural laws. The court has said that today only a decision will be given regarding the performance of the farmers and the rights of the common people, the issue of validity of the laws can be waited on.

  • 37-year-old Jaisingh, who was involved in the movement on the Tikari border, died on Thursday due to a heart attack. He was a resident of Tungwali village in Bathinda. So far, 7 of those involved in the movement have died due to different reasons.
  • Bharatiya Kisan Union (Doaba) leader MS Rai says the Supreme Court notice has not been received. When the farmers meet, then all the farmers’ organizations will discuss and decide further.
  • The Confederation of All India Traders (CAIT), which works for the interests of small traders, has written letters to Union Ministers Narendra Singh Tomar and Piyush Goyal. It says that CAIT should also be included in the committee asked by the Supreme Court to form a committee on farmers’ issues.

Warning of the Khapas – BJP will be hurt if the law is not returned
18 Khap Panchayats of Uttar Pradesh have supported the peasant movement. These khapas will participate in demonstrations on the borders of Delhi and perform a mahapanchayat today. ‘Will stand till demands are met’
A farmer involved in the movement on the Ghazipur border said that we are standing here despite the bitter cold. We will not move here until the demands are met, even if it rains. Another farmer said that with the help of bonfire and blankets, he is protecting from the cold. All facilities are better here, just the washrooms are dirty.

Sikh saint commits suicide in support of farmers
65-year-old saint Baba Ram Singh Singhu was involved in the farmers’ dharna along the border. On Wednesday, he was to recite on the stage, so stood near the stage. At 2.30 in the afternoon, he sent his driver and companion some distance and suddenly shot himself. His suicide note has also been found in which it is written – This step of mine is against the rights of the farmers and the government atrocities. I am sad to see the pain of farmers.
