  • State Ministry sent message to Raj Bhavan, Governor Anandi Ben Patel will come to Bhapeal on Sunday itself
  • The new Chief Justice of Madhya Pradesh Mohammad Rafiq can also take oath on this day.

The day has finally set for the expansion of the state cabinet. Two ministers will be included in Shivraj’s team. The swearing in ceremony will take place on Sunday 3 January at 12:30 pm at Raj Bhavan. Notice of cabinet expansion has been sent to the Raj Bhavan from the Ministry shortly before. Raj Bhavan has confirmed this. It is believed that supporters of MP Jyotiraditya Scindia, Tulsi Silavat and Govind Singh Rajput, may take oath as ministers. At the same time, the oath-taking ceremony of Chief Justice of Madhya Pradesh Mohammad Rafiq is expected to be held at Raj Bhawan at 3:00 pm.

Raj Bhavan sources said that Governor Anandi Ben Patel had returned to Lucknow on Thursday after a four-day stay in Bhopal. Now she will come to Bhopal at 11 am on Sunday to administer the oath to the ministers and the new Chief Justice. There will be a meeting at the Raj Bhavan at 4 pm today for the swearing-in ceremony. The officers of the General Administration Department will be present in it, in which the format of the ceremony will be decided. Sources said that the number of guests at the swearing-in ceremony would not exceed 150.

Significantly, the results of the by-elections came on 10 November. After this, Shivraj’s cabinet expansion was awaited. Four rounds of meetings of Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chauhan, State President VD Sharma and Jyotiraditya Scindia were held regarding this. Sources said that the Cabinet leadership has received permission from the national leadership on Friday morning. After this the schedule is fixed.

Tulsi will get water resources and Govind will get transport and revenue department

Ministry sources said that Tulsi Silavat is almost certain to get Water Resources and Govind Singh Rajput Department of Transport and Revenue. After Shivraj Sarkar came to power, these departments were handed over to Silavat and Rajput. Although BJP now wanted to give other departments to these two, but after the consent between the national leadership and Scindia, the donors will once again be given the responsibility of the same department.
