The emergency use of two corona vaccines in the country may start soon. The Expert Panel of the Central Drugs Standard Control Organization (CDSCO) on Saturday gave Bharat Biotech Kovaxin approval for emergency use with strict restrictions. The news agency gave this information by quoting sources. A day earlier, the expert panel gave conditional approval to Serum Institute’s CoveShield for emergency use. Now both vaccines are expected to get approval from the Drug Controller General of India, ie DCGI.

Bengaluru is the most infected city in the country

In the list of top-5 infected cities of the country, Bengaluru has become number one. So far, over 3.88 lakh people have been infected here. Pune is now the second most infected city in the country. 3.73 lakh people have been infected here.

Maharashtra has three cities among the top-5 infected cities. These include Pune, Mumbai and Thane. More than 2.50 lakh people have been infected here. So far, 2.94 lakh people have been affected by Corona in Mumbai and 2.54 lakh in Thane. Chennai is the 5th city with the highest number of corona report positives.

IAS officer dies in Madhya Pradesh
Senior IAS officer Masood Akhtar has died in Madhya Pradesh. He was the home secretary of the state. He was found corona infected about 20 days ago. He was undergoing treatment after this. Doctors said that his corona report came negative 3 days ago, but the lung infection had more effect. Due to this, he died on Saturday.

Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath said that vaccine could come till Makar Sankranti. In a program, he said, “There will be a dry run of vaccination on 5 January in the state.” I am confident that till Makar Sankranti, we will keep taking the vaccine and beat Corona. ”

Recovery rate over 96.1%

The number of patients recovering from corona in the country is constantly increasing. Now there are 21 states and union territories where the recovery rate is higher than the national rate. So far, more than 99 lakh patients have been cured in the country and the recovery rate has reached 96.1%. At the same time, the recovery rate in 21 states and UTs like Arunachal Pradesh, Andhra Pradesh is more than 96.1%. In Arunachal, 99.1% people have fully recovered from Corona.

In addition to Arunachal in terms of recovery rate, more than 98% of people in Andhra Pradesh, Odisha, Dadar-Nagar Haveli, Tripura and Assam have recovered from Corona. At the same time, more than 97% of people in 12 states and UT including Meghalaya and Andaman-Nicobar and 96.1% in Goa, Nagaland, Chhattisgarh and Uttar Pradesh have fully recovered.

19 thousand new cases within 24 hours
Within the last 24 hours, 19 thousand 378 new cases were found. 22 thousand 938 people were recovered and 225 died. So far, 1.03 people in the country have been affected by corona infection. The good thing is that 99.04 lakh people have been recovered so far. At the same time, 1.49 lakh people have lost their lives due to corona.

Active case lowest in 6 months
Meanwhile, the number of active cases has also come down to 2.50 lakh. Now there are 2 lakh 48 thousand 882 patients in the country who are undergoing treatment. This has happened after 4 July i.e. 6 months. On July 4, there were 2 lakh 45 thousand active cases in the country.

Corona updates

  • Flights to the UK will begin again on 8 January. Civil Aviation Minister Hardeep Singh Puri gave this information on social media. He informed that till January 23, only 15 flights will run in a week. These flights will be from Delhi, Mumbai, Bangalore and Hyderabad. In the UK, flights were suspended from 23 December as Corona received a new strain.
  • The new strain found in Britain has been found in 29 people infected with the new corona so far in the country. Experts are telling it to be 70% more spread than the earlier corona virus.
  • Rashtrapati Bhavan Museum Complex will reopen from January 5. It was discontinued on 13 March due to the Kovid-19. For this, Rashtrapati Bhavan has issued orders.

State of 5 states
1. Delhi

On Friday, 585 new cases were found. 717 people recovered and 21 died. So far 6 lakh 25 thousand 954 people have been infected. Of these, 6 lakh 10 thousand 39 people have been cured, while 10 thousand 557 have died. There are 5358 patients who are undergoing treatment.

2. Madhya Pradesh

In the last 24 hours, 780 new infections have been identified. 912 patients recovered and 12 died. There have been 2.42 lakh cases of corona infection so far. Of these, 2.29 lakh patients have been cured and 3618 have died. Now 9222 infected people are under treatment.

3. Gujarat

The state received 734 new cases on Friday. 907 people recovered and 3 died. So far, 2 lakh 45 thousand 772 people have been infected. Of these, 2 lakh 31 thousand 900 people have been cured, while 4309 people have lost their lives. 9563 patients are currently being treated.

4. Rajasthan

On Friday, 609 people were found infected. 942 people recovered and 4 died. So far, 3 lakh 8 thousand 852 people have been infected. Of these, 2 lakh 96 thousand 929 people have been cured, while 2700 patients have died. 9223 patients are currently being treated.

5. Maharashtra

3524 new cases were found here on Friday. 4279 people recovered and 59 died. So far, 19 lakh 35 thousand 636 people have been infected. Of these, 18 lakh 32 thousand 825 people have been recovered, while 49 thousand 580 patients have died. At present, there are 52 thousand 84 patients who are undergoing treatment.
