Now in every 10 lakh population in the country, 1.10 lakh people are being tested. 7 thousand patients are being found in these and 103 people are dying. These figures are increasing, although India’s position in the world’s top-10 infected countries is much better in these cases. In the US, 49 thousand 108 people are found infected in every 10 lakh population, while 912 people are dying. In Brazil, there are 32 thousand cases and 846 deaths in this same population.

Meanwhile, the Kerala government has announced to run a free vaccination drive in the state. Chief Minister P Vijayan said that the corona vaccine will be given free of cost to all the people of the state. He said that sample tests of 59 thousand 690 people were done within the last 24 hours and 5949 people were found infected. At present, there are 60 thousand 29 patients who are being treated, while 6 lakh 1 thousand 861 people have been cured.
88.98% of the country’s active cases in 11 states

88.98% of the country’s active cases i.e. patients who are being treated are in 11 states. All these 11 states have more than 5% active patients. Himachal Pradesh is on top in this matter. 16% of patients are being treated here. The second number is Manipur. Here 11.2% and 9% of patients in Kerala are undergoing treatment.

98.31 lakh cases so far

So far, 98 lakh 31 thousand 126 people have been affected by Corona in the country. Among them, 3 lakh 56 thousand 66 patients are being treated, while 93 lakh 28 thousand 792 people have been cured. 1 lakh 42 thousand 662 people have died.

Corona updates

  • Haryana Home and Health Minister Anil Vij has written a letter to the Central Government asking to give priority to public representatives ie MPs, MLAs in the vaccination. Vij has written that these representatives go among the public. Therefore, they should also be included in the priority list.
  • Uttarakhand minister Rekha Arya Corona has been found infected. He has appealed to the people in his contact to get the test done.
  • The Pune Municipal Corporation administration has postponed the decision to open the school. Schools will remain closed in the city until 3 January 2021. Order has been issued for this.
  • Uttarakhand Chief Minister Trivendra Singh Rawat has ordered to appoint a special Kovid-19 officer for the Kumbh Mela.

Recovery rate rising
The 31 states and union territories of the country have a recovery rate of over 90%. Meaning more than 90% of the patients in these states have been cured. Andhra Pradesh has the highest recovery rate. So far, 98.6% patients have been cured. Odisha is at number two. Here 98.5% people have recovered. In Dadar and Nagar Haveli 98.4% patients and 98% patients have recovered in Arunachal Pradesh.

  • Himachal Pradesh is the worst state in recovery rate. So far only 82.3% people have been cured. States with poor performance in terms of recovery also include Uttarakhand, Manipur and Sikkim.
  • Analyzing the death rate, Punjab’s condition is the worst. So far, 3.2% of the patients have died. Maharashtra is second in this case. So far 2.6% people here, 2.2% in Sikkim have lost their lives.
  • Apart from this, there are 20 states and union territories where death rate is from 1% to 1.8%. The best situation in this case is from 12 states and union territories including Dadar and Nagar Haveli, Mizoram, Arunachal Pradesh. The death rate here is less than 1%.

State of 5 states

1. Delhi

On Saturday, 1935 people were found corona infected in the capital Delhi. 3191 people recovered and 47 died. So far 6 lakh 5 thousand 470 people have been infected. Out of these, 5 lakh 78 thousand 116 people have been cured. The number of people who lost their lives to infection is now 9981. 17 thousand 373 patients are still under treatment.

2. Madhya Pradesh

On Friday, 1222 people were found infected in the state. 1347 people recovered and 9 died. So far, 2 lakh 21 thousand 115 people have been infected. Of these, 13 thousand 92 patients are being treated, while 2 lakh 4 thousand 641 people have been cured. The number of people who lost their lives to infection has now increased to 3382.

3. Gujarat

1204 people were found infected in the state on Saturday. 1338 people recovered and 12 died. So far, 2 lakh 26 thousand 508 people have been infected. Of these, 13 thousand 381 patients are being treated, while 2 lakh 8 thousand 967 people have been cured. The number of people who lost their lives to the infection has now risen to 4160.

4. Rajasthan

On Saturday, 1307 people were found corona infected in the state. 2913 people were recovered and 14 died. So far, 2 lakh 89 thousand 999 people have been infected. In these 16 thousand 821 patients are being treated. 2 lakh 70 thousand 650 people have been cured. The number of people who lost their lives to infection has now risen to 2528.

5. Maharashtra

4259 new patients were found in Maharashtra on Saturday. 3949 people were recovered and 80 died. So far, 18 lakh 76 thousand 699 people have been infected. Of these, 73 thousand 542 patients are being treated, while 17 lakh 53 thousand 922 people have been cured. The number of people who lost their lives to infection has now reached 48 thousand 139.
