Congress leader Sachin Pilot has become Corona positive. He gave information about this by tweeting on Thursday. The pilot said that anyone who has come in contact with me in the last few days should get their test done. I am taking doctors advice. Hope to get better soon. At the same time, a total of 86.84 lakh cases have been reported in the country so far. 80.64 lakh patients have been cured, 1.28 lakh patients have died, while 4.89 lakh are undergoing treatment.

AIIMS director Guleria said – who will get the vaccine before infection

On the other hand, Dr. Randeep Guleria, Director of the Indian Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), says that after the outbreak of Corona virus, we will reach a situation when the herd immunity will come. Then the vaccine will not be needed.

In an interview, he was asked that if the vaccine arrives by the end of 2021 or early 2022, will immunity not come by then? If people start treating this virus infection as a minor disease like cold, cough and cold, then it does not affect their health much.

In response, Randeep Guleria said that there are two aspects here. One is that the vaccine arrives soon. If it comes, it will be given first to those people who are more at risk of infection. This will reduce the number of infected patients.

During this time there will come a time when we will get herd immunity and people will also feel that immunity has come in them. In such a situation the vaccine will not be needed. If there is no change in the virus, the vaccine will be needed, as there will be a risk of recurrence.

Drug companies worry, demand for vaccine may not decrease

Guleria said that an important issue is how the virus changes and whether it can re-infect people. We are still investigating how the virus will behave in the coming few months.

Based on that, a decision can be taken as to how often the vaccine will be required. If good herd immunity comes, it will be a challenge, because a lot of money has been spent in making the vaccine and the makers of the vaccine are worrying that the demand for the vaccine will be reduced.
