The Indian Council for Medical Research (ICMR) said that the rate of infection has decreased compared to earlier, but the danger has not yet been avoided. ICMR Director General Balaram Bhargava presented the weekly report of Kovid-19 on Tuesday.

He said that in the festival season, corona cases have increased in Kerala, West Bengal, Maharashtra, Karnataka and Delhi. A record 4853 new patients were found in Delhi on Tuesday. So far, this figure is the highest for patients found in a single day. Bhargava said that everyone has to be cautious at this time. Kovid-19 rules have to be followed for rescue. During this period, officers of the Ministry of Health and members of NITI Aayog were also present.

Strict lockdown will continue in Containment Zone

Meanwhile, the last week of October is going on and people were waiting for a new unlock guide. The Center clarified the situation on Tuesday and said that the guideline issued till October 31 under Unlock-5 will now be applicable till November 30.

The Ministry of Home Affairs said that there will be no restriction on movement within and across states and no separate approval will be required for this. During this period strict lockdown will also continue in the Containment Zone.

ICMR and Ministry of Health also said

  • 8% of those infected so far have been under 17 years of age. Very few cases have been reported in children below 5 years of age. This suggests that children may be spreaders (spreaders) rather than super-spreaders.
  • Not a single case has been reported in India so far in which Kovid-19 patients have Kawasaki disease. Kawasaki is an auto-immune disease that affects children under five.
  • Bharat Biotech’s Kovaxin has been approved for Phase-3 trial.
  • Cadila is also testing Phase-2. The Serum Institute has completed Phase 2B trial. Trial results are yet to come from the US, Brazil and South Africa.
  • The number of infected and deaths per 1 million has reduced considerably compared to other countries.
  • There is a steady decline in the active case. This is a good sign for the country.
  • For 7 consecutive days, the rate of infection is less than 5%. More than 9 lakh people were screened on Monday. Of these, 3.75% people were found infected.

Rapid decline in active case continues

There is a rapid decline in the number of active cases of corona in the country, ie, patients undergoing treatment. It decreased by 28 thousand 132 on Monday. This is the second largest decline ever. Earlier, on September 21, the maximum number of active cases was 28 thousand 653.

So far 79 lakh 88 thousand 349 people have been found infected in the country. Of these, 72 lakh 56 thousand 588 people have been cured, while 6 lakh 10 thousand 354 patients are still being treated. So far, 1 lakh 20 thousand 34 patients have died due to infection.

  • India tops the five most infected countries in the world in terms of recovery. The recovery rate in India is more than 90%. Meaning 90 people are getting cured in every 100 patients. Brazil is second in terms of better recovery. The recovery rate here is 89.65% and Russia’s 74.84%. The worst condition is in France. So far only 9.69% patients have been able to recover.

State of five states
1. Madhya Pradesh

Within the last 24 hours, 514 new patients were found in the state, 1010 people recovered and 8 infected people died. So far, 1 lakh 68 thousand 483 people have been found infected here. Of these, 2898 patients have died. 1 lakh 55 thousand 232 people have been cured so far, while 10 thousand 353 patients are still under treatment.

2. Rajasthan
In the last 24 hours, 1796 new patients were found, 2066 people recovered and 14 patients died. So far, 1 lakh 89 thousand 844 people have been found infected. Of these, 15 thousand 949 infected people are still being treated, while 1 lakh 72 thousand 28 people have been cured. So far 1867 people have died due to infection.

3. Bihar
On Tuesday, 678 people were found infected in the state. 9073 people recovered and 7 patients died. So far, 2 lakh 13 thousand 383 people have been infected. Of these, 2 lakh 3 thousand 244 people have been cured. So far 1065 people have died due to infection.

4. Maharashtra
On Tuesday, 5363 new patients were found in the state, 7836 people recovered and 115 patients died. So far, 16 lakh 54 thousand 28 people have been infected. Among these, 1 lakh 31 thousand 544 patients are still under treatment, while 14 lakh 78 thousand 496 people have been cured. So far 43 thousand 463 patients have died due to infection.

5. Uttar Pradesh
In the state on Tuesday, 1986 new patients were found, 2335 people recovered and 38 patients died. So far, 4 lakh 74 thousand 54 people have been found infected. Of these, 26 thousand 267 patients are being treated, while 4 lakh 40 thousand 847 people have been cured. Corona killed 6940 people in the state so far.
