Things remained fragile from April to May
The situation between India and China has been tense since April-May. There was also a violent clash between Indo-Chinese soldiers on 15 June in the Galvan Valley of Ladakh. In this, 20 soldiers of India were martyred. More than 40 Chinese soldiers were killed. To reduce tension on the border, several rounds of talks have been held between the two countries at diplomatic and military levels. India has deployed around 60,000 soldiers to fight the Chinese army in Ladakh.
