Prime Minister Narendra Modi called BCCI President Sourav Ganguly on Sunday to get an update on his health. Modi wished him a quick recovery. PM also spoke to his wife Donna Ganguly. Former captain of Indian cricket team Sourav Ganguly was admitted to Kolkata Hospital on Saturday after complaining of chest pain. Meanwhile, his Corona report came out negative on Sunday.
Earlier, West Bengal Governor Jagdeep Dhankhar and CM Mamta Banerjee reached the hospital on Saturday to see Ganguly. Assembly elections are due in Bengal this year and there is speculation that Sourav Ganguly, known as Dada, may enter politics.
Ganguly’s ECG report also normal
Doctors reported that Ganguly slept well on Saturday. There was no decline in his health. They also had tea and snacks in the morning. His ECG test report on Sunday has also returned to normal. A decision will be taken on their further treatment plan on Monday.
Angiography and angioplasty occurred
Saroj Mondal, head of the medical team treating Ganguly, said that he had undergone angiography and angioplasty. Now his condition is stable. He had many problems including a heart attack. Soon they will be able to participate in their daily activities.
Speculation about joining BJP
Ever since Ganguly became the president of the BCCI, there has been speculation about his joining the BJP. Last week, he went to meet West Bengal Governor Jagdeep Dhankhar. After this, there were speculations that Sourav could join BJP soon. However, Ganguly himself said on this meeting that if the Governor wants to meet me, I should meet. Do not make more sense of it.
