In Pyraman village, the grave is being dug next to the tomb of Ahmed Patel’s parents.

Ahmed Patel, a senior Congress leader and Rajya Sabha MP from Gujarat, died on Wednesday morning at the age of 71. Patel was infected Corona on 1 October. Ahmed Patel, a resident of Pyraman village in Bharuch district, wished that he be buried near the parents’ grave in the village. Therefore, according to his wish, the tomb is being dug next to the tomb of the parents.

Maulvi Maulana Rahman of Pyraman village said that a call was received from Delhi at 4 am today that Ahmed Patel had died. He was a veteran and beloved leader of Bharuch district. Ahmad Patel of calm nature was always ready to help the people. Hearing the news of his death, mourning swept across the village. Ahmad Patel had a great attachment to the village of Pyraman. He used to come to the village on every occasion.

He was admitted to Medanta Hospital in Gurugram on October 15 after Ahmed Patel’s corona report came positive. Many of his organs had stopped functioning. He died on Wednesday at 3:30 am.

Ahmed Patel was the political adviser to Sonia Gandhi since 2001. In January 1986, he became the President of Gujarat Congress.
