After India, America, now Pakistan has also banned the video platform TikTok. Pakistan said the platform was facing allegations of obscenity and profanity. Earlier, the Pakistani government had also banned the gaming app PUBG. On the other hand, Tiktok has not released any statement on this decision of the Imran government.

TikTok has 39 million users in Pakistan. It is the third most downloaded app in Pakistan in recent times. Earlier, WhatsApp and Facebook app topped the download.

Imran’s government had already warned
The Government of Pakistan says that there were a lot of complaints against this app. Two months ago, a petition was filed in the Lahore High Court demanding an immediate ban on TikTok. The petitioner had said that this app has become a major source of pornography. At the same time, the government had said in this case that such an app is affecting the physical and mental health of the youth. The Imran government had also issued a warning regarding this.
